On October 1st, Gamr marked a momentous occasion with the EAFC 24 Launch event in Lagos, Nigeria. The event served as a grand celebration to commemorate the global launch of the highly anticipated EAFC game. The EAFC 24 is EA’s first football game after ending their nearly 30-year-long partnership with FIFA.

The Gamr EAFC 24 Launch event was also the first of its kind held in Africa since the game was released globally. The event took place at the EridanSpace, Ikeja, Lagos with over a hundred players and fans in attendance. The Launch kicked off with exhibition matches and also side attractions like Just Dance and foosball.
After this, the players who registered for the EAFC 24 launch event went head-to-head in a single elimination match. The thrilling event reached its climax in the finals where Tope Wesley and Gift Chidi battled it out to become the EAFC 24 Launch champion.
In the end, Wesley emerged victorious in the Finals, with a 3-1 scoreline. Both players won a copy of the new EAFC 24 game, new controllers, and several Gamr merchandise items. Also, VR and Gamr merchandise were handed out to other participants.
The Gamr EAFC 24 Launch was a way to celebrate the bourgeoning gaming culture in Africa and the boundless opportunities it holds for players and fans alike.
