Starfield is the latest role-playing game from Bethesda Game Studios, set for public release on September 6, 2023. Starfield is one of the biggest games by Bethesda, and it was originally revealed in 2018 during the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game is the first new universe in 25 years from the game developers.
It offers an expansive open-world experience set in a region of the Milky Way galaxy. This area encompasses a mix of imaginary and real planetary systems, allowing players to visit over 1,000 planets, along with numerous moons and space stations. When you get close to a planet, the game automatically creates the land, plants, and creatures based on things like the star it orbits, the air, and interesting spots. Players can switch between a first-person and third-person view during the game.
Starfield has already garnered lots of attention from many streamers and players who purchased the premium edition or the constellation edition and received early access. Already, the game has hit a peak concurrent player count of over 230,000 on Steam. With the game being priced at $99 for the premium edition, the Steam numbers show how well the game has been received early on.
